From May 1, the observation deck of the Water Tower of the Rostov Kremlin will be open to the public for residents and guests of the city. The tower is called the Water Tower, because in the old days water was carried through the gate under it to the economic yard of the ensemble. From a height of 24 meters, visitors view panoramas of the historical part of Rostov: the Kremlin ensemble, city churches, monasteries and streets built up with buildings of the XVIII–XIX centuries, ramparts and bastions of the Rostov earthen fortress, Lake Nero. The monocular installed on the site allows you to see the ancient city in detail.
Engineers and specialists in repair and restoration conducted an inspection of the site and proposed a set of measures aimed at ensuring the reliability and complete serviceability of structures (railings, fences, steps, monocular), as well as compliance with fire safety, updating signs. Sanitizers are installed in all rooms, the mask mode is observed. Taking into account the existing restrictions and recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor, no more than 6 people can climb to the Observation deck of the Water Tower at the same time.
The entrance fee for all categories of visitors is 100 rubles. Children under 7 years old are not allowed on the Observation Deck, from 7 years old-with an entrance ticket accompanied by their parents. A single ticket with a discount for visiting the Museum Cinema “Clock Tower” and the Viewing Platform for all categories of visitors will cost 200 rubles.
