On the last day of November, the Rostov Kremlin Museum-Reserve opened the exhibition “Give Constructivism!” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of this trend in art.
It is significant that the exhibition opened in the Stable Yard, the new exposition and exhibition space of the Rostov Kremlin, which was restored for 6 years and waited two years for the opening.
The exhibition “You give constructivism!” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the history of the legendary style. An atmosphere has been created on the site, vividly emphasizing the post-revolutionary era. More than a hundred costumes were recreated for the exhibition based on sketches by famous masters V.Stepanova, L. Popova, A. Exter, V. Mukhina, V. Tatlin, S. Eisenstein.
Modern designers and volunteers collected articles and photographs, studied museum collections, bought fabrics and created reconstructions of household and theatrical costumes based on “blind” photographs, drawings and draft designs.
In a large-scale project, all facets of constructivism sound polyphonically – from theater and fashion to cinema and architecture.
The exhibition is located on the second floor of the left wing of the Stable Yard.
Open Wednesday-Sunday from 10 to 17 o’clock.
